Homeopathy is a method of treatment that supports the body's own healing mechanism. It is based on the law of similars "like cures like".
A homeopathic remedy is an extremely pure, natural substance that has been diluted many times. In large quantities these subtances would cause the same symptoms the patient is trying to cure. In small, pure, diluted doses, it is not only safe and free from side effects, but it will trigger the body to heal itself.
Example: Allium cepa is a remedy that is used for watery eyes and runny nose, it is created from red onion. If you've cut open a red onion you'll notice the same symptoms. When the body creates a similar "symptom picture" to Allium cepa and you take a dose of Allium cepa, it activates the body to go about the process of stopping watery eyes and a runny nose.
Homeopathy is, safe, quick and an extremely effective method of healing. It offers long lasting to permanent cure, treating the disease from its roots. It can be used to treat a vast majority of ailments , physical and mental. Ranging from coughs and colds , eczema , allergies asthma , ulcers , stress ,anxiety , depression.
Homoeopathy: Often avoids Surgery.
Homoeopathy is not against surgery. Surgery is an art and science by itself. There are however a number of diseases which are labeled as 'surgical', where homoeopathy works curatively and can avoid surgery. Some such ailments are : Septic recurrent Tonsillitis, Piles, Chronic ear discharge, Polyp in nose-ear, Kidney & Biliary (small) stones Uterine Fibroid, Ovarian Cysts, Warts , Corns, etc.

As with other complementary health practitioners, a homeopath will ask about your lifestyle, eating habits, medical history and state of mind, and not simply look for symptoms. As homeopathy is based on treating the whole person , the object of the consultation is to try and get a full picture of the patient from a physical , mental and emotional perspective. You may be asked some questions which you think have no relevance to your particular complaint e.g. what kind of food do you like to eat ? , are you a hot / cold person ? , what makes you angry / sad etc. , along with general questions about your health , lifestyle etc. Past family medical history is also important to establish .
You can be assured that your answer to these questions will help to guide me towards your individual remedy. As there are over 2000 to choose from , you can appreciate how important this process is.
After a diagnostic session a 'classical' homeopath would prescribe a unique remedy for you, based on your symptoms, personality and medical history. This will then be posted to you within 5-7 days time , with full instructions of how to take it etc .
The first consultation will last approx. one and a half to two hours. Return visits normally last 30 –45 .
